Job summary

O-Spheres in Hong Kong is seeking a Scientist to join our R&D team. You will lead and manage research projects, design and run experiments on hollow materials, and analyze data to support green innovations.

Reporting to the Director and CTO, you will communicate results to management and contribute to environmental and regulatory problem solving across industries. Fresh PhDs welcome; strong team and presentation skills required.

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry or related field required.
• Fresh PhD graduates welcome; priority to those with formulation development, Pickering emulsion, or nanoparticle surface modification.

We are currently seeking a highly talented and motivated Scientist to join our Research and Development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion and curiosity for developing and applying new hollow materials to solve real-world environmental and regulatory challenges across different industries. You will be responsible for researching and developing hollow materials based on our core technologies to help build a greener world.

Reporting to the Director and CTO, the successful candidate will:

• Lead and manage research projects to achieve project goals successfully.
• Design and run practical experiments to develop and test advanced materials for consumer, industrial, electronic, and environmental uses.
• Analyze data and interpret experimental results independently.
• Keep clear and accurate records of all lab work and data.
• Communicate experimental results and scientific findings to the management team clearly and on time.
• Take on other related tasks as assigned by the team.

Requirements:

• A recognized PhD degree in Chemistry, or other science related fields. Background in inorganic synthesis, colloid, interface, and soft materials research is highly preferred.
• Fresh PhD graduates are welcome to apply, but candidates with hands-on experience in formulation development, Pickering emulsion preparation or nanoparticle surface modification will be given top priority.
• Experience in project design and team management is a strong plus.
• Have a positive, can-do attitude and a strong willingness to learn.
• Be a great team player with excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills.

Salary:

$32,000+ (plus Government allowance if eligible); Would be set according to the applicants’ qualifications and experience.
