Job summary

APSN Education Services Ltd. seeks a Speech Language Therapist to oversee the speech language programme for students/trainees with communication challenges.

Responsibilities include evaluation, development and coordination of intervention plans, and discharge planning as students progress or depart from services. You will screen, assess and treat speech and language disorders, measure outcomes, and maintain confidential records.

Qualifications

• Recognized degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited program
• Excellent written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with clients across ages; AHPC registration advantageous or required

Responsibilities

• Provide professional inputs to support understanding of clients’ speech, language and communication difficulties to teachers, parents/caregivers, staff and administrators.
• Collaborate in problem-solving to assist with goals, intervention design, and program planning.
• Provide screening, identification, assessment, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up services for students/trainees with speech and language disorders.
• Measure treatment outcomes and conduct ongoing evaluation.
• Identify effective practices to improve and enhance service quality.
• Maintain accurate client records and documentation, including assessment reports.
• Implement intervention programs based on assessment, planning and interpretation.
• Write discharge summaries and plan when students leave the program or school.
• Train and support teachers, caregivers and other communication partners.
• Mentor and supervise support personnel.
