Reporting to the Business Unit Lead, General Medicine, the Sales Manager – Cardiovascular is a critical commercial leadership role accountable for delivering ambitious financial goals, leading a high-performing sales team, and winning in a dynamic and highly competitive market environment.
This role is responsible for building organizational capability, embedding Amgen’s sales excellence expectations and driving disciplined execution with the highest standards of integrity and compliance.
Competency
Proven track record of successfully leading sales teams in highly competitive therapeutic areas, with strong people leadership and commercial delivery.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate strategy into execution, allocate resources effectively, and deliver against ambitious financial goals.
Demonstrated strength in sales capability building, field coaching, and embedding structured sales excellence models such as competency-based selling and strategic account management.
Strong performance management capability, including setting high standards, providing candid feedback, recognizing strong performance, and addressing underperformance with discipline and urgency.
Excellent strategic thinking, market understanding, and adaptability in responding to changing customer, competitor, and business dynamics.
Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage credibly and effectively at all levels internally and externally.
Acts as a role model for Amgen Values and fosters open, honest, and collaborative relationships across the organization.
Strong organizational discipline, execution rigor, and the ability to manage complexity while delivering commitments on time.
Minimum of 15 years of pharmaceutical / biotech industry experience, including at least 8 years in sales leadership roles with direct people management responsibility. Experience in cardiovascular, specialty care, or other highly competitive therapeutic areas is preferred.
Computer skills (MS Office + Copilot, Veeva CRM).
Fluency in English, both oral and written. Proficiency in Cantonese.
