Job summary

Veolia Hong Kong Holding Limited is seeking a Safety Officer/Safety Supervisor to maintain the Occupational Safety and Health Management System, coordinate compliance activities, validate safety data, and lead safety training for all staff, visitors and contractors.

The role requires relevant OSH qualifications, strong communication skills, and fluent English and Chinese. On-site work with potential insurance benefits is expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Occupational Safety & Health.
• Construction Safety Green Card training.
• Safety Supervisor Certificate (OSHC/CIC).
• Lifting Safety Supervisor Certificate (OSHC/CIC).
• A12 Silver Card (CIC).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient English & Chinese (speaking and writing).

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Occupational Safety and Health Management System per regulations and policy.
• Coordinate with internal and external parties on compliance, audits and investigations.
• Validate health and safety data and prepare required reports.
• Coordinate safety training and awareness programs for staff, visitors and contractors.

Job Description

• Maintain the Occupational Safety and Health Management System in accordance with applicable health & safety regulations, permits, contractual requirements and company policy
• Coordinate with different parties (both internal and external) on the health and safety compliance conduction, inspection investigation, job hazard analysis and audit programs
• Validate all health and safety data, including quality of the data and prepare all required reports
• Coordinate and implement the health and safety compliance and awareness promotional activities and training programmes for all staff, visitors and contractors

Qualifications

• Diploma or above/ Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health
• Construction Safety (Green Card) Training
• Safety Supervisor Certificate issued by OSHC or CIC
• Lifting Safety SupervisorCertificateissued by OSHC or CIC
• A12 Silver Card issued by CIC
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese

Additional Information

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of post-registration experience in the factory or construction field with experience in ISO45001, ISO14001 and ISO9001 audit is preferred
• Registered as Safety Officer with the Labour Department
• Holder of First Aid certificate is required
• Driving license is preferred (Class 1 and 2)
• Proficient in MS office / Google applications
• Determined, motivated team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent presentation and presentation skills
• Candidates with less experience/ without Safety Officer registration in the Labor Department will be considered as Safety Supervisor
