Job summary

Cotai Water Jet is seeking a Safety Assistant / Deputy Safety Supervisor to assist in managing vessel safety operations and ensure full compliance with maritime regulations and Marine Department requirements. You will support investigations into vessel accidents and crew/passenger injuries, maintain detailed safety records, updates to navigational charts, and coordination of crew training courses.

Requires a Diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety Management; Chinese and English

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety Management or equivalent.
• Experience in vessel safety operations is highly preferred, but not mandatory.
• Good command of both spoken and written Chinese and English.
• Proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing vessel safety operations to ensure compliance with maritime regulations and Marine Department requirements.
• Support investigations into vessel accidents and crew/passenger injuries, and maintain detailed safety records.
• Assist with navigational chart updates, use of navigation books for regulatory compliance and manage vessel First Aid Kits.
• Coordinate and arrange safety and operational training courses for crew members.
• Assist with ISM system documentation and annual audits, and follow up on vessel parts procurement.
• Perform clerical duties including data entry, filing and taking detailed meeting minutes.
