Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Assistant/Safety Officer in Hong Kong. The ideal candidate must be a Registered Safety Officer with the Labour Department, possess a Bachelor Degree or Higher Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health, and have at least 4 years of experience in the construction field. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with safety regulations, monitoring safety performance, and assisting in accident investigations. Strong communication skills in English and Chinese are essential.

About the job Assistant / Safety Officer

Job Description

• Ensure the Safety Regulations are complied with by maintaining frequent site inspections, training and liaison with site personnel, subcontractors and government official.
• Assist site management in monitoring the safety performance of workers and to provide safety advice to site management from time to time.
• Ensure, with the assistance of qualified first aid personnel that all first aid facilities are available for use in emergency and all equipment legally required are maintained in good working condition.
• Assist in accident investigation, if any; and recommending present measures to the site management.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree or Higher Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or construction related subjects;
