Job summary

The Bank of East Asia (BEA) in Hong Kong is seeking a risk professional to collaborate within the Enterprise Risk Management framework. You will compile risk data, analyze significant issues, and support risk appetite oversight for governance bodies.

You will prepare decks and management reports for committees and the Board, review policies, and coordinate with risk controllers on regulatory changes. Strong communication and bilingual skills are essential.

Qualifications

• University graduate, preferably in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance, or related disciplines.
• Ideally at least 3–5 years of experience in banking/finance handling projects and preparing management reports related to risk management. HKIB qualification is an advantage.
• Independent, able to work under pressure, detail oriented and responsible.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
• Proficient in English and Chinese (written and spoken).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).

Job description

• Collaborate and liaise with relevant risk functions under the Bank's Enterprise Risk Management framework to compile the risk data and identify the significant risk-related issues


• Perform risk analysis on the significant risk-related issues and support the Department Head on risk appetite oversight


• Prepare presentation deck to provide a holistic overview to the Group Chief Risk Officer


• Prepare risk management reports to Management Committees and the Board of Directors


• Conduct regular review of Group Risk Management Policy and coordinate with risk controllers for any necessary changes to ensure alignment with the changing business environment and the latest supervisory policy manual / regulatory requirements


• Participate in ad-hoc risk-related projects of Risk Management Division

Requirements

• University graduate, preferably major in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance, or related disciplines


• Ideally at least 3-5 years of experience in the banking / finance sector with hands-on experience in handling projects and preparing management reports in relation to risk management. Relevant HKIB qualification is an advantage.


• Independent, able to work under pressure, detail oriented and with good sense of responsibility


• Highly developed interpersonal, communication and analytical skills


• Good command in both spoken and written English and Chinese
