Job summary

Cornerstone Financial Services Limited, a member of EverCrest Group, is establishing a Hong Kong insurance brokerage focusing on life protection, savings, retirement and legacy planning. We are seeking an experienced insurance professional to join as our proposed Responsible Officer.

Role involves assisting in the company’s licence application and acting as the Responsible Officer, with oversight of regulatory compliance and supervision of intermediaries.

Qualifications

• At least five years of relevant insurance industry experience, including at least two years of substantive management experience.
• Strong practical experience in Hong Kong long-term insurance brokerage and supervision of insurance intermediaries.
• Current or previous RO approval preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in applying for a Hong Kong insurance broker company licence and act as the Responsible Officer of the company.
• Provide leadership and supervision over the team, ensuring compliance controls and regulatory requirements are met.
• Coordinate with the IA and Board on licensing history, RO appointments, and control frameworks.

Responsible Officer – Insurance Brokerage Long Term

Cornerstone Financial Services Limited, a member of EverCrest Group, is establishing a Hong Kong insurance brokerage focused on life protection, savings, retirement and legacy planning. We are seeking an experienced insurance professional to join as our proposed Responsible Officer.

The role

Assist in the company’s application for a Hong Kong insurance broker company licence and act as the Responsible Officer (RO) of the company.

Requirements

• At least five years of relevant insurance industry experience, including at least two years of substantive management experience.
• Strong practical experience in Hong Kong long-term insurance brokerage (excluding investment-linked insurance), with direct responsibility for supervising insurance intermediaries, reviewing business and managing operational or compliance controls.
• Current or previous approval as an RO of a Hong Kong licensed insurance broker company is strongly preferred.
• A recognised bachelor’s degree, an IA-specified insurance qualification, or another qualification or applicable exemption accepted by the IA.
• Currently licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as a Technical Representative (Broker) for Long Term Business (excluding Linked Long Term Business), and able to satisfy the IA’s fit and proper requirements for RO approval.
• Sound knowledge of Hong Kong insurance regulation and practical experience handling regulatory enquiries.
• Experience overseeing referral business or serving high-net-worth clients would be an advantage.
• Strong leadership, professional judgement and communication skills. Proficiency in English and Chinese; Mandarin would be an advantage.
• Able to provide employment references and supporting evidence of relevant industry experience, management responsibilities and supervisory authority.
