Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer in Hong Kong to join a team delivering HKHA contracts under the Contract Manager. You will perform geotechnical design and provide site supervision, coordinating design and liaising with project teams.

Requirements include HKIE Corporate Membership or equivalent, Registered Professional Engineer in Geotechnical Discipline, at least two years post-qualification experience, and Safety Training Certificate.

Qualifications

• Membership of HKIE in Geotechnical Discipline or equivalent.
• Registered Professional Engineer in Geotechnical Discipline under the Engineers Registration Ordinance.
• Minimum of two years post-qualification experience in geotechnical design or site supervision.
• Valid Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate (Green Card) as per Ordinance.
• Ability to work under supervision of a Senior Professional; strong teamwork; commitment to learning.

Responsibilities

• Carry out geotechnical engineering design works.
• Provide site supervision for geotechnical works.
• Conduct design coordination and liaison for projects and contracts.
• Represent HKHA/Contract Manager when required.
• Apply skills to projects in other geographies and markets.

Job description

• Join Aurecon’s Infrastructure business as part of a team of highly skilled specialists
• Work for HKHA contracts or projects under the responsibility of the Contract Manager, Director’s Representative, or their representatives
• Represent the HKHA and/or Contract Manager when required
• Carry out geotechnical engineering design works
• Provide site supervision for geotechnical works
• Conduct design coordination and liaison for projects, construction contracts, or works
• Apply skills and creativity to projects in other geographies and markets

Requirements

• Corporate Membership of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers in Geotechnical Discipline, or equivalent
• Registered Professional Engineer in Geotechnical Discipline registered under the Engineers Registration Ordinance
• Minimum of two years' post-qualification experience in geotechnical design and/or site supervision of geotechnical works
• Valid Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate (Green Card) issued according to Section 6BA(2) of the Factories and Industrial Undertaking Ordinance, or equivalent
• Ability to work under the direct instructions and supervision of a Senior Professional
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Commitment to continuous learning
