Job summary

SearchApi is seeking an engineering manager to own delivery end to end, enabling the founder to step back from day-to-day work. You’ll run cadences, track active projects, surface risks early, and be the first escalation point when something breaks.

You’ll lead with clear writing and good decisions, building Managers of One who grow other managers. This fully remote role offers equity and the chance to shape a bootstrapped SaaS business.

Qualifications

• Must have shipped delivery improvements with measurable impact.
• Experience leading small high-output engineering teams.
• Excellent written English communication.

Responsibilities

• Run cadences: planning, standups, and retros.
• Track state of every active project and surface risks.
• Own delivery metrics: cycle time, review latency, reliability.
• Coordinate incidents and drive RCA improvements.
• Grow the team: 1:1s, coaching, and hiring pipelines.
