Job summary

SearchApi is hiring an infrastructure engineer to own and operate the cloud stack powering billions of requests. You will improve observability, scale browser cloud infrastructure, and own end-to-end performance and reliability.

As a senior engineer, you will mentor others, architect solutions, and drive cost optimization while expanding to new regions and cloud providers. This fully remote role offers equity and profit sharing as part of the compensation.

Qualifications

Seasoned infrastructure engineer with end-to-end ownership of cloud stack.
Strong observability and incident response experience needed.
Proficient in Terraform and infrastructure as code.
Excellent written communication and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

Own and improve observability across the entire stack: metrics, logging, alerting, dashboards.
Architect and operate browser cloud infrastructure: containerized browsers, session isolation, crash recovery, autoscaling.
Handle websocket connections, CDP tunnels, and TCP‑level tuning for browser automation.
Write and maintain Terraform for all infrastructure. Everything is code.
Tune autoscaling, capacity planning, and cost optimization.
Expand to new regions as we grow.
Experiment with Lambdas, new cloud providers for custom scraping needs.
Debug production issues: memory leaks, zombie processes, and network failures.
Build disaster recovery and incident response runbooks.
Work with Linux systems, Dockerfiles, container orchestration daily.
