Job summary

Ping An Digital Bank is seeking an experienced Premium Investment Advisor to serve as trusted adviser to retail and high-net-worth clients, tailoring bespoke investment strategies to objectives and risk tolerance across multi-asset classes while aligning with governance standards.

You will travel to Mainland as needed, collaborate with Investment Consultants, and ensure regulatory compliance under SFC Code of Conduct, delivering integrated wealth and banking solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in a relationship manager role within Retail or Private Banking.
• Deep familiarity with HK and Mainland Chinese clients, regulatory landscape.
• Strong knowledge of multi-asset investment strategies and alternatives.
• University degree in Finance/Economics/Business; CFA/CFP preferred.
• Fluent Mandarin; excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.

Job description

• Premium Investment Advisory: Serve as a trusted investment advisor to retail and HNW clients, formulating bespoke investment strategies that align with their objectives, risk tolerance, and strategic asset allocation.
• Client Engagement & Travel: Regularly travel to the Mainland (as required and compliant with regulations) to conduct joint client calls with Investment Consultant, build rapport, deepen relationships, and articulate the firm’s investment views directly to customers.
• Multi-Asset Expertise: Deliver comprehensive advice and solutions across traditional asset classes (equities, fixed income, FX) as well as sophisticated alternative investments (e.g., alternative funds, private equity, hedge funds, structured products, and managed solutions).
• All-rounded Banking/Wealth Services: Provide professional advice on full banking and wealth solutions to meet customers’ financial and family needs, including investment, insurance, FX, deposits and other banking services.
• Suitability & Governance: Drive strong investment governance, ensuring all advisory activities, solutions, and trade executions adhere strictly to regulatory requirements (e.g., SFC Code of Conduct) and internal suitability frameworks.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Professional Experience: Minimum 3+ years of robust experience in an relationship manager role within Retail Bank, Private Bank, or comparable wealth management institution, with a proven track record of managing substantial client and AUM portfolios.
• Market Focus: Demonstrated success and deep familiarity with serving HK and Mainland Chinese clients, understanding their cultural context, regulatory landscape, and investment preferences.
• Product Knowledge: Strong, in-depth knowledge of multi-asset investment strategies, including expertise in traditional asset classes and significant exposure to and understanding of alternative investment solutions.
• Qualifications: A recognized university degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional designations such as CFA and/or CFP are highly preferred.
• Licensing: Must possess or be able to immediately obtain the necessary local regulatory licenses (e.g., SFC Type 1 and Type 4 licenses) to carry out regulated activities.
• Communication: Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills. Fluency in Mandarin is essential.
• Mindset: Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, a collaborative team player, and a high level of customer-centricity and professional integrity.
