Job summary

AIA Hong Kong is seeking a seasoned Actuary to supervise 1-2 staff and lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing, as well as regulatory reporting and governance across critical lines of business.

You will ensure compliance with regulations, manage reserves and capital requirements, support management reporting, and contribute to customer outcomes through robust actuarial analysis and collaboration with teams.

Qualifications

• University/college degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics and Statistics, or related field.
• Close to attaining actuarial professional examinations.
• Strong people management and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation and project management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of Prophet is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Regular Financial Closing (Valuation, Control, Analysis) – manage the team to perform reserve and capital requirement calculations for certain line of business; follow internal schedules.
• Ensure proper control is implemented and internal control requirements are met.
• Perform analysis on reserves, capital requirements and solvency and explain dynamics with market trends.
• Senior Management Reporting – prepare materials for latest developments on statutory valuation and regulatory matters for senior committees (FRC, QBR, AC, ALCO).
• Audit management – prepare audit materials and coordinate with auditors; handle queries.
• Governance & Compliance – ensure valuation governance and regulatory compliance.
• Monthly/Quarterly/Annual Regulatory Filing – support regulatory filings and analysis.
• Actuarial Initiatives/Projects – assess impact of changes in assumptions, methodologies, and models with team support.
• Team management – coach the team to improve processes and analyses.
