Job summary

WeMaintain in Hong Kong is seeking a proactive Registered Safety Officer to elevate urban mobility by upholding safety, quality and environmental standards. You will lead inspections, develop training, and ensure compliance across lifts, escalators and safety systems.

The role requires a Diploma or higher in Safety Management, RSO certification, and at least 3 years of safety management experience. Proficiency in English and Chinese is essential, with a collaborative, hands-on approach valued.

Qualifications

• Diploma or above in Safety Management or related discipline.
• Holder of Registered Safety Officer (RSO) from Labour Department.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in safety management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the company complies with all relevant safety laws and guidelines.
• Conduct regular safety inspections to identify areas for improvement.
• Develop and deliver training programs on quality, environmental, safety protocols and best practices.
• Implement MTR General Specification & Particular Specification.
• Keep up-to-date with industry regulations and standards.
• Prepare safety reports and documentation for management review.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and external safety organizations.
• Look into causes of injuries, near-misses, or industrial diseases and offer remedial solutions.
• Perform detailed risk and hazard evaluations for lifts and escalators work.

Your day-to-day at WeMaintain

As a Registered Safety Officer, your key responsibilities will be:

• Ensure the company complies with all relevant safety laws and guidelines
• Conduct regular safety inspections to identify areas for improvement

• Looking into the causes of occupational injuries, near-misses, or industrial diseases and offering remedial solutions
• Performing detailed risk and hazard evaluations for specific lifts and escalators work

What we're looking for

• Diploma or above in Safety Management or related discipline
• Holder of Registered Safety Officer (RSO) from Labour Department
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in safety management
• Experience in conducting safety audits and incident investigations
• Familiar with ISO, audits & local safety regulation
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards
• Good command of spoken & written English and Chinese
