Job summary

Argyll Scott is supporting a leading financial services organisation in a quest for a Chief Technology Officer to steer regional technology strategy and engineering transformation. This senior leadership role requires deep technical credibility, commercial judgement and the ability to engage with C-level stakeholders.

The CTO will set strategy, lead cross-market engineering and deliver modernised platforms, cloud adoption, AI governance and robust cybersecurity, while building strong technology

Qualifications

• 15+ years of technology experience with senior leadership in regional financial services.
• Strong hands-on technical foundations with the ability to challenge decisions.
• Experience in large-scale platform modernisation, cloud transformation and complex programme delivery.
• Good understanding of AI engineering, DevOps, software delivery and cybersecurity.
• Confident communication with C-level leaders, boards and senior business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Set the regional technology strategy and translate business priorities into a practical delivery roadmap.
• Lead engineering, architecture and technology delivery across multiple markets.
• Modernise legacy platforms while maintaining the stability and security of critical systems.
• Advance cloud adoption, DevOps, automation and continuous delivery to improve speed and reliability.
• Shape the use of AI engineering across the business, with appropriate governance and production controls.
• Build strong technology leadership teams and manage key vendors, budgets and delivery risks.
• Partner with business executives to assess investments, make technical decisions and deliver measurable outcomes.
