Job summary

Hong Kong International School (HKIS) seeks an experienced, licensed teacher to support its mission and Student Learning Results. The role spans planning, instruction, management, assessment and professional responsibilities across grade levels and subjects.

The successful candidate will design coherent, differentiated lessons, collaborate with colleagues, use varied assessment data to inform instruction, and foster a safe, inclusive learning environment aligned with HKIS standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject area; Masters degree preferred.
• Qualified Teacher Certification.
• Minimum 5 years of full-time teaching in the grade level or subject.
• Experience teaching ESL students preferred.
• Experience creating units of work using backward design.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design and implement coherent instruction aligned with HKIS outcomes.
• Deliver differentiated lessons and engage students in inquiry and problem solving.
• Assess student learning with formative and summative tasks and provide feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues on planning, assessments and data analysis.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment and model professional responsibilities.
