Job summary

Citadel Securities in Hong Kong (and Sydney) is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to own end-to-end development of options trading tools. You will build modern React frontends and distributed backend services, integrating real-time data pipelines with pricing and risk management workflows.

You will collaborate with traders and researchers to deliver high-performance, scalable software that enables rapid decision-making and execution across markets.

Qualifications

• Experience building full stack applications with modern frontend and backend tech.
• Proficiency with TypeScript and React.
• Experience designing scalable backend services using C++ or Python.
• Experience building distributed systems and service-oriented architectures.
• Experience developing real-time, high-performance applications.
• Strong understanding of API design, asynchronous systems, and event-driven architectures.

Responsibilities

• Define and build the next generation of high-touch pricing and trading workflow applications for Options traders.
• Collaborate with traders, researchers, and leaders to improve pricing, execution, and risk management.
• Develop full stack applications across web frontends, backend services, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Create intuitive, high-performance interfaces enabling real-time research, pricing, and trading.
• Design scalable backend services for pricing, workflow orchestration, data, and trading operations.
• Build trading tools to view depth, manage orders, and execute complex strategies.
• Prototype ideas rapidly and evolve them into robust production systems.
• Improve performance, scalability, stability, and usability of mission-critical trading apps.
