Job summary

DCL Communication Ltd, a long-established IT infrastructure solutions provider in Hong Kong, invites applications for an Assistant software program engineer role. You will work within the R&D team on product research, development, documentation, and delivery to regional customers.

The position suits diploma holders with 1–2 years in E&M/IT/Software. Proficiency in Linux, Docker, and basic networking helps, with opportunities for Azure/AD exposure and on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• Higher Diploma/Diploma in Computer Science or related discipline.
• 1–2 years solid experience in E&M, IT or Software fields; entry level titled Assistant software program engineer for less experience.
• Comfortable with Linux environment; Windows Server administration an advantage (Active Directory, Azure).
• Comprehensive understanding of Docker systems and Docker networking is a significant advantage.
• Basic understanding of Power or Uninterruptible Power Supplies, or computer room setup is an advantage.
• Solid understanding of network stack; certification or experience in network configuration an advantage.
• Experience with monitoring protocols such as SNMP is an advantage.
• Experience with MQTT or other IoT technologies is an advantage.
• Experience with ESP32 or ESP IDF is a significant advantage.
• Self-motivated, well-organized, team player, able to meet deadlines.
• Basic computer knowledge (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required.
• Good communication skills in both Chinese and English.
