Job summary

Stealth Web3 Startup in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced QA/Test Automation Engineer to design and implement automated tests for UI, API, and messaging systems in a trading platform environment.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of testing experience, 2+ years in test development, and strong Python/Java coding skills, plus familiarity with Pytest, Playwright, JMeter, Locust, and related tools. Knowledge of AI-assisted testing is a plus.

Job description

• Participate in functional, automated, and performance testing for trading platform systems.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases for UI, APIs, and messaging middleware (e.g., Kafka, WebSocket).
• Participate in or lead the construction of test platforms, automation frameworks, and regression systems to improve testing efficiency and defect detection capabilities.
• Explore and apply Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI tools to enhance testing intelligence in areas such as test case generation, defect analysis, and report generation.
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to understand business workflows and test data strategies, and design key regression and end-to-end (E2E) test scenarios.
• Support performance, stability, and capacity testing, and establish and continuously optimize testing metrics and quality indicators.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science or a related field, with 5+ years of testing experience, including 2+ years of test development experience.
• Proficient in at least one programming language such as Python or Java, with strong coding skills and good coding practices.
• Familiar with common testing frameworks and performance testing tools, such as Pytest, Playwright/Appium, JMeter, K6, or Locust.
• Solid understanding of HTTP, TCP, and WebSocket protocols, and familiarity with trading system architectures and financial business logic.
• Experience in building API automation systems, regression test platforms, mock services, or test data management platforms is a strong plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with solid problem analysis and summarization abilities, and a strong sense of quality ownership.
• Proficient in using AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor) to improve efficiency and intelligence in test design and execution.
