Job summary

Inspire is seeking a QA / Software Tester with 2-4 years of experience to execute manual and automated tests across our insurance portals, mobile apps, and backend systems, identifying defects early and validating critical user journeys for policyholders and agents.

You will log defects in Jira, help define acceptance criteria, create test cases and reports, and collaborate with developers and QA leads. Proficiency in SQL, API testing with Postman, and Cantonese/English communication is valued.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of proven experience in software quality assurance, with a strong preference for candidates from Insurance, Banking or Fintech sectors.
• Proficiency in data verification using SQL, API testing via Postman and workflow management inside Jira.
• Languages: English and Cantonese; Mandarin capability valued.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relevant technical discipline

• Test Execution: Run functional, API, regression, and System Integration Testing (SIT), while assisting with User Acceptance Testing (UAT)


• Defect Tracking: Log, Track, and re-test bugs meticulously using Jira, writing clear steps to help developers reproduce the issue


• Collaboration: Partner with developers, business analysts, and the QA lead to define clear acceptance criteria and address technical edge cases


• Documentation: Develop and maintain structured QA documentation, including test cases, traceability matrices and execution reports

Requirements

• Experience: 2-4 years of proven experience in software quality assurance, with a strong perference for candidates from Insurance, Banking or Fintech sectors.


• Technical Proficiency: Competence in data verification using SQL, API testing via postman and workflow management inside Jira.


• Languages: Good communication skills in English and Cantonese (Mandarin Capability is highly valued)


• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relevant technical discipline
