Job summary

Ambition is seeking an experienced Business Analyst / Test Lead to drive testing for a major insurance core system modernization. You will lead end-to-end testing across New Business, Policy Administration, and Customer Service, coordinating with operations and technology vendors to ensure business readiness and successful delivery.

The role requires 3–5 years in BA or Test Lead, with insurance domain knowledge and strong stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of BA, Test Lead, or related project delivery experience.
• Insurance domain knowledge in Policy Administration, Underwriting, Claims or Customer Service.
• Experience leading testing activities for large-scale system implementations.
• Strong understanding of test planning, execution, defect management, and UAT.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end testing activities across multiple business units, including New Business, Policy Administration, Customer Service, and other insurance operations functions.
• Manage testing plans, execution progress, defect tracking, and overall testing quality.
• Review and understand test cases to effectively guide and support testing teams.
• Act as the key liaison between business stakeholders, operations teams, and technology vendors throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Provide regular updates on testing progress, risks, issues, and mitigation plans to project stakeholders.
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system testing, and business readiness activities.
• Ensure business requirements and system functionalities are appropriately validated through testing.
• Support system implementation and go-live preparation activities.
• Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for process improvement where applicable.
• Work closely with vendors and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of Business Analyst, Test Lead, or related project delivery experience
• Insurance background experience with domain knowledge, particularly in Policy Administration, Underwriting, Claims, Customer Service, or Insurance Operations
• Proven experience leading or coordinating testing activities for large-scale system implementation or transformation projects
• Solid understanding of test planning, test execution, defect management, and UAT processes
• Ability to review and understand business requirements and test scenarios to effectively manage testing teams
• Experience working with technology vendors and cross-functional stakeholders
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and coordination skills
• Experience supporting core system transformation, modernization, or policy administration system projects is highly preferred
• Ability to bridge business and technology teams effectively
• Fluent Cantonese is required; Mandarin proficiency is an advantage
• Immediate availability or short notice period is highly preferred
