Job summary

Ambition in Hong Kong seeks an experienced QA professional to lead validation of our insurance core systems. You will design and execute comprehensive test plans, perform SIT/UAT, API and DB testing, and collaborate in Agile teams to ensure quality across policy administration, underwriting, and claims.

Strong SQL, testing tools, and communication skills are essential. We value hands-on experience with HP ALM/Quality Center, Postman, JIRA, and Azure DevOps, plus a proactive approach to QA

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field.
• 5+ years QA/testing experience in enterprise apps.
• Experience testing insurance core systems across front/middle/back-office.
• Strong knowledge of policy admin, underwriting, claims, billing, servicing.
• Hands-on SIT, UAT, E2E, API and DB testing.
• Proficient with JIRA, Azure DevOps, HP ALM/Quality Center, Postman.
• Good SQL skills for backend validation.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum and strong communication.

Responsibilities

Job description

• Perform functional, system integration, end-to-end, regression, and user acceptance testing for insurance core systems.
• Validate front-to-back insurance processes including policy administration, underwriting, claims, billing, premium collection, and customer servicing.
• Execute API, interface, batch, and database testing to ensure system integration and data accuracy.
• Identify, log, track, and retest defects, working closely with developers and business analysts to resolve issues.
• Support release testing, production deployment validation, and post-implementation monitoring.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile delivery environments to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Contribute to test automation initiatives and continuous improvement of QA processes and standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of QA/testing experience in enterprise applications.
• Proven experience testing insurance core systems across front-end, middle-office, and back-office functions.
• Strong knowledge of insurance business processes including policy administration, underwriting, claims, billing, and customer servicing.
• Hands-on experience in SIT, UAT, E2E, regression, API, and database testing.
• Proficiency with testing and defect management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, HP ALM/Quality Center, and Postman.
• Good SQL skills for backend data validation and testing.
