Job summary

Standard Chartered is seeking a Transactions Processing professional to manage end-to-end banking operations, including payments, remittance, and time deposits, ensuring compliance with policy and regulatory standards. The role collaborates across RM, CSM and GBS to deliver a best-in-class client experience.

You will oversee risk, governance and process improvement initiatives, while supporting a wide range of transaction processing activities in Private Banking.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end to end for all Banking Operations related processes connected with client servicing and transaction execution
  • Agree with GBS, extra / additional control and monitoring responsibilities, ensure no gap on transactions processed
  • Business- Working with the RM, CSM & GBS to deliver the client journey end state vision (best in class client experience) and embed this way of working within Private Banking
  • Processes- Key processes include Payment, Internal fund transfer, Time Deposit and Loans drawdown
  • Support existing and future process and technology initiatives/automation.
  • People & Talent- Continue to work on process improvement by digital paperless automation streamline system with raised CR and discussion with relevant stakeholders
  • Risk Management- Ensure related processes aligning to Clients' requirements while adhering to the Bank's Operational Risk Framework (ORF').
  • Governance- To provide sufficient training and guidance to GBS and the team
  • Regulatory & Business Conduct- Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.

Job Summary

Transactions Processing (Loans Operations)


Checking the loan drawdown, loan rollovers, prepayment and other loan admin duties


Ensure loan drawdown is within approved credit limit and within sufficient collateral


Ensure all exceptional including limit, pricing are approved according to Credit Policy and DOA


Support the interest statement for client information


Transactions Processing (Payment & Investigation)

Authenticate, validate and priorities all customer requests for outgoing and incoming remittances payment including SWIFT, CHIPS, FED CHATS, in house funds transfer and cheques


Ensure all payments are in Compliance with OFAC Sanctions


Monitor the payment queue to ensure all transactions are processed before system cut-off


Ensure all payment transactions executed are compliance with Client Authenticated and Trust payment guidelines


Transactions Processing (Time Deposit)

Verify time deposit set up, renewal & termination


Liaise with CA CSM to clarify the unclear time deposit instruction and ensure the quality service delivered to the customers.


Review time deposit exceptional, maintenance and maturity reports


Support the campaign initiate by business


Key Responsibilities
