A sizable frozen food importing company is urgently seeking a Purchasing Manager or Assistant Manager to join their expanding team in Hong Kong. Responsibilities include sourcing, pricing and terms negotiation, inventory monitoring, vendor evaluation, and preparing cost comparisons. Ideal candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in frozen seafood purchasing, excellent analytical and negotiation skills, and a good command of Chinese and English. The role may involve occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Monitor inventory level and manage stock forecasting;
• Conduct regular vendors’ evaluation and assessment;
• Deal with complaints;
• Maintain supplier databases and purchase records;
• Prepare cost comparison to assist decision making;
• Coordinate with internal teams to achieve smooth operation process;
• Ad-hoc assignments.

Job Requirements

• Degree holder in all disciplines;
• At least 5 years’ relevant experience with proven track record on frozen seafood purchasing and sourcing;
• Good command of spoken and written Chinese (both Cantonese & Mandarin) and English;
• Proficient in MS office applications;
• Self-motivated, well-organized with excellent analytical and negotiation skills;
• Occasionally travel is required.

Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Purchasing Manager / Senior Officer;
