Job summary

Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong is seeking a Purchasing Assistant to support the F&B and hospitality teams in sourcing quality products at best prices. You will work closely with chefs and purchasing directors to manage purchase orders, specs, and inventory controls.

The role requires a high school education, fluency in English and Cantonese, and familiarity with purchasing procedures. It offers strong training opportunities and benefits within a renowned luxury hotel group.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Prefer 1 year experience in a related hotel or F&B purchasing role.
• Fluent in English and Cantonese; strong knowledge of purchasing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Purchase high-quality products at the lowest price in coordination with the Chef and F&B Director.
• Ensure all purchase order requests are properly completed and approved.
• Maintain accurate written food specifications for price quotations and receiving.
• Assist in coordinating monthly and quarterly inventories of food, beverage, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist in coordinating annual operating equipment and supply requirements.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

What you will do:

Work closely with the Chef and the Food & Beverage Director to purchase the highest quality products at the lowest price

Ensure all purchase order requests are properly completed and approved

Maintain accurate written food specifications and use them effectively for price quotations and receiving

Assist the managers on coordinating and participating in all month end and quarterly inventories of food, beverage, operating equipment and supplies

Assist the team on coordinating the annual operating equipment and supply requirements

Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff

What you bring:

High school education or equivalent experience

Prefer 1 year experience in the related position with hotels or F&B industry

Requires a working knowledge of purchasing procedures including purchase orders and inventory procedures

Fluent in English and Cantonese language skills
