Job summary

Deloitte China is recruiting for a Consultant/Senior Consultant - Strategy & Business Design (Public Sector) in Hong Kong. You will work on strategy-to-execution engagements, applying financial modelling, data analysis and cross-functional collaboration to deliver actionable recommendations for public sector clients.

You will build robust business cases, lead portions of projects, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and contribute to thought leadership within a global network while advancing

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of management or strategy consulting experience.
• Bachelor's degree required; an MBA from a top-tier institution is highly preferred but not mandatory.
• Deep knowledge of public sector with the ability to translate market trends into actionable client solutions.
• Emerging business development skills, including identifying new client opportunities and supporting proposal development.
• Proven core consulting skills, including slide design, document story lining and sharp written and oral communication skills.
• Strong strategic thinking, quantitative analytics and financial or business modelling capabilities.
• Fluent in both English and Mandarin (written and spoken) to manage regional and cross-border client engagements.

Responsibilities

• Consultant: Manage own work against the project plan to ensure high-quality execution and superior client experience.
• Consultant: Diagnose client challenges, perform rigorous data analysis and develop actionable business solutions.
• Consultant: Maintain an understanding of the client's business model, industry trends and the role of technology as a business enabler.
• Consultant: Gather and interpret financial information to build robust, quantitative support for proposed strategic recommendations.
• Consultant: Articulate thoughts and ideas clearly to instill confidence in team and clients.
• Consultant: Present complex ideas and strategic recommendations using clear messaging and data-driven tools.
• Consultant: Develop, capture and share reusable assets to streamline delivery on future engagements.
• Senior Consultant: Build and contribute domain thought-ware for use by the network.
• Senior Consultant: Select methodologies to collect and analyze complex data and develop high-impact recommendations.
• Senior Consultant: Address client challenges where business processes and technology enablement intersect.
• Senior Consultant: Evaluate cross-functional operations, trends and data to weigh options and build robust business cases.
• Senior Consultant: Deliver key messages with clarity and confidence.
• Senior Consultant: Apply a global perspective to structured problem solving and collaborate across teams.
