Job Title: Project Officer (Administration) (EDB/SE/177/26)
Entry Requirements
- (a) A Hong Kong bachelor's degree, or equivalent;
- (b) A Postgraduate Diploma / Certificate in Education from a Hong Kong tertiary educational institution, or equivalent;
- (c) Met the language proficiency requirements of Level 3 [See Note 1] or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent; and
- (d) A minimum of 12 years' relevant experience [See Note 2] in educational, social work or rehabilitation settings after obtaining (a) above. Experience in administration and financial management, management of large-scale project work or provision of services for students with autism spectrum disorder preferred.
Note:
1. For Government appointment purpose, 'Grade C' and 'Grade E' in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to 'Level 3' and 'Level 2' respectively in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
2. Applicants with less than 12 years' working experience by the closing date may also apply. If selected, the candidate will be appointed at a salary lower than that stipulated in the advertisement, as determined individually by the Education Bureau.
3. The recruitment assessment consists of two stages: (I) a skills test and (II) an interview. When a large number of candidates meet the specified entry requirements, the recruiting department will devise shortlisting criteria to select the better qualified candidates for further proceeding. In these circumstances, only shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend the skills test and/or interview.
4. The skills test and interview are tentatively scheduled for 30 September 2026 and 13 October 2026 respectively. Applicants should make themselves available on both days. Selected candidates will receive an invitation for the skills test before 28 September 2026. As notifications will be sent to selected candidates by e-mails, applicants should provide an accurate email address in their application. Those who are not invited for the skills test or interview may assume that their applications are unsuccessful.
5. Candidates who are invited for the skills test and/or interview are required to bring along the original copies of the academic qualifications, supporting documents of working experience and one recent photo.
Duties
- (a) To provide consultative advice to schools on the implementation of the 3-Tier Autism Intervention Model (the AIM Model) and to demonstrate effective strategies to teachers;
- (b) To organise professional training for teachers on the implementation of the AIM Model;
- (c) To compile effective practices of schools and service providers in the implementation of the AIM Model and Strength-Based Programmes;
- (d) To assist in conducting on-site visits to monitor the implementation of the Strength-Based Programmes;
- (e) To review and assess the effectiveness of schools' implementation of the AIM Model;
- (f) To provide administrative support for the implementation of the NGO-School Collaboration Initiative;
- (g) To monitor the services provided by the NGO-School Collaboration Initiative; and
- (h) To perform other duties as assigned.
Terms of Appointment
Successful candidates will be employed on non-civil service contract terms for 1 year.
Fringe Benefits
- (a) 14 days annual leave and full pay sickness allowance whereas rest days, statutory holidays(or substituted holidays), maternity leave/paternity leave, where appropriate, will be granted in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance.
- (b) A gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the contract with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. Such gratuity, if granted, plus any contribution made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will be equal to 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.
