Job summary

CLP is seeking a high caliber professional to join their Contracting Business Department as a Project Manager (Lighting). You will manage various electrical projects and ensure their timely delivery while adhering to safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate must possess a recognized degree in Electrical Engineering and have at least 8 years of relevant experience in project and contractor management, strong stakeholder management abilities, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

We are looking for a high caliber professional to join our Contracting Business Department as a Project Manager (Lighting). Key responsibilities include:

• Responsible for effective project management of electrical, electronic and/or lighting projects
• Prepare, review and formulate tendering strategies for upcoming electrical, electronic and/or lighting projects
• Lead projects’ design, installation and maintenance activities to achieve in a timely and cost-effective delivery and full compliance with safety and quality standard and relevant statutory requirements
• Handle tender bid activities and general tender related enquires
• Liaise and co-ordinate with internal and external stakeholders in relation with all project activities
• Ensure the planned and ad hoc maintenance works are completed according to the relevant standard
• Evaluate and select services contractors that meet technical specifications and engineering standards to achieve construction and operational targets. Devise and implement systems to manage the performance of contractors
• Co-ordinate with clients to plan, schedule, and setup proper procedures and precautions to meet the Company's requirements and Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) standards
• Ensure that the services contractors carry out site installation works according to the in-house and regulatory requirements
• Perform emergency call-out duties when required

Requirements:

• A recognized university degree in Electrical, Building Services, Electronics, Engineering or relevant disciplines
• A minimum of 8 years’ working experience in electrical network or lighting system management
• Proven experience in project management and contractor management is required
• Good knowledge in electricity mains, sub-mains, final circuit and Lighting system
• Good knowledge with CLPP Power (CLPP) or Highways Department (HyD) safety requirements and working environment together with knowledge in ISO 9001 would be an added advantage
• Excellent stakeholder management, networking skills experiences to manage customer relationship up to senior management level
• Excellent communications and presentation skills and experiences to deliver convincing presentation and reporting to clients and others through different communication channels in both verbal and written format
• Possession of professional corporate membership in Engineering Institution or held a valid Registered Electrical Work (REW) license Grade B or above issued by EMSD would be an added advantage
• Good knowledge on health, safety, security, environmental and quality management. Experience on auditing works would be an added advantage
• Good command in written and spoken English and Chinese
• Candidates with less experience will be considered for lower position
