Job summary

KYEC (S) Pte Ltd is seeking a Quality System Engineer in Hong Kong to maintain and enhance the company’s QMS, ensuring ISO and customer requirements are met. You will lead audits, manage supplier quality, document control, and CAPA programs.

The role requires a degree in engineering or QA and 3–5 years in quality assurance, with proficiency in SPC and RCA. Certification in Six Sigma or CQE is a plus; entry-level candidates are welcome.

Qualifications

• Proficient in SPC, RCA, and CAPA systems.
• Experience with QMS such as ISO 9001 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and continuously improve ISO 9001/IATF16949/VDA 6.3 QMS.
• Manage supplier and incoming raw material processes incl. IECQ QC080000, REACH, RoHS.
• Create, update and control documents, work instructions, forms and records.
• Conduct regular audits of manufacturing or service processes.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions and QA plans.
• Investigate raw material non-conformities and perform root cause analysis.
• Implement CAPAs to address defects or inefficiencies.
• Collect/analyze quality data and prepare reports on metrics.
• Drive continuous improvement via Lean, Six Sigma, and TQM.
• Provide training on quality standards and problem-solving.

About the role

The Quality System Engineer is responsible for maintaining, implementing and continuously improving the company's QMS to ensure compliance with applicable ISO standards, customer requirements, regulatory requirements and internal quality objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and continuously improve the company's ISO9001, IATF16949, VDA 6.3 (QMS)
• Manage supplier and incoming raw material processes, including IECQ QC080000, REACH, RoHS compliance
• Create, update, establish, control and maintain documents, work instructions, forms and records
• Conduct regular audits of manufacturing or service processes to ensure compliance with company and industry standards
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality control plans
• Investigate raw material non-conformities and perform root cause analysis
• Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to address defects or process inefficiencies
• Collect and analyze quality data from various stages of the process and prepare reports on quality performance metrics
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Total Quality Management (TQM)
• Provide training to incoming inspection and engineering teams on quality standards, procedures, and problem-solving techniques

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field
• 3 - 5 years of experience in a quality assurance or process engineering role, preferably in manufacturing or production environments
• Proficient in statistical process control (SPC), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Corrective / Preventive Action (CAPA) systems
• Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001 or equivalent
• Certification in Quality Assurance (e.g., Six Sigma Green Belt, Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), ISO 9001 Auditor) is a plus
