Job summary

Manulife Investment Management's Private Equity team in Hong Kong is seeking an Analyst Intern to support the investment group in managing the existing portfolio and conducting due diligence on potential investments.

The role offers hands-on exposure to junior debt financing, equity co-investments, fund commitments and portfolio reporting within Asia-Pacific, with a full-time schedule from January 2027 through July 2027.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate students with a major in finance, economics, or business administration
• Demonstrated passion for investing and private market transactions
• Strong English language verbal and written communications skills
• Strong proficiency with Excel
• Team player capable of working with various internal and external teams in a fast-paced environment
• Availability to work full-time January 2027 to July 2027

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing periodic investment reviews on existing investments
• Assist with ad hoc portfolio-related analytical projects and reporting initiatives
• Assist with due diligence on fund partners across various geographies and fund strategies
• Assist with due diligence on prospective equity co-investments including reviewing historical financial performance, industry dynamics and competitive analysis, valuation analysis and financial modelling
