Job summary

Leadingnation in Hong Kong is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer to monitor and control the power system and coordinate HV apparatus work. The role supports outage assessments and develops switching programmes to ensure continuous and secure supply.

Candidates should have at least 2 years in operation or planning within the power industry, with strong English and Chinese communication skills. The position is based in Ap Lei Chau with transportation provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related disciplines.
• A minimum of 2 years’ work experience in operation, control, planning and/or other relevant areas in the power industry.
• Good understanding in distribution network and power system operations.
• Good command of English and Chinese languages, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Control and monitor the Company’s power system
• Coordinate the High Voltage (HV) apparatus work
• Assess distribution outages
• Assist in assessing distribution outages and prepare switching programmes and contingency plans to maintain the continuity and security of supply of the distribution system
• Carry out operations related to HV equipment outages, commissioning and routine testing
• Perform duties of 24-hour shift roster or irregular hours
