Job summary

The Hongkong Electric Co., Ltd in Hong Kong is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to monitor and control the power system, coordinate work on HV apparatus, and help plan switching programmes for outage contingencies. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and at least two years of relevant power-industry experience, with fluency in English and Chinese.

The position is based at Ap Lei Chau with transportation provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related disciplines.
• A minimum of 2 years’ work experience in operation, control, planning and/or other relevant areas in the power industry.
• Good understanding in distribution network and power system operations.

Responsibilities

• To assist in assessing distribution outages and prepare switching programmes and contingency plans to maintain continuity and security of supply.

To assist in assessing distribution outages and prepare switching programmes and contingency plans to maintain the continuity and security of supply of the distribution system

To carry out operations related to HV equipment outages, commissioning and routine testing

To perform duties of 24-hour shift roster or irregular hours

Requirements:
