Job summary

CLP, Black Point Power Station in Tuen Mun, Hong Kong, invites applications for a mechanical/engineering maintenance role. The appointee will join multi-disciplinary teams responsible for the effective maintenance of plant and equipment within the assigned area.

Major duties include inspection, troubleshooting and repair of HRSG-related equipment, maintenance of valves and pumps, and supervision of welding and rigging on site, with safety and engineering standards strictly observed.

Qualifications

• Higher Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical or Engineering with 2 years’ experience, or Ordinary Certificate with 4 years’ experience.
• Solid experience in maintenance of water-tube boiler, high-pressure steam systems, or heavy machinery.
• Familiar with Safety, Health and Environmental regulations and possess good safety awareness.
• General computer skills in Microsoft Windows and Office.
• Proven supervisory, interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair on HRSG-related mechanical equipment.
• Perform maintenance and repair on valves and pumps including dismantling, inspection, alignment, installation and testing.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with safety procedures and engineering standards.
• Supervise welding, lifting, rigging and mechanical repair activities on site.
• Report progress, site issues, defects and safety concerns to the responsible engineer.
• Check and prepare spare parts, tools, materials and consumables in advance.
• Support station operation through Maintenance-Operator activities.
