Job summary

CVVT - Centre for Virology Vaccinology and Therapeutics invites applications for a Post-doctoral Fellow to commence as soon as possible for two or three years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. The appointee will work under Professor Jasper Chan on molecular virology of emerging infectious diseases.

Applicants should hold a PhD in Virology or related fields, with experience in AI, cell culture, molecular cloning, protein expression, antibody generation, ELISA

Qualifications

• PhD in Virology or related field required.
• Experience in AI, cell culture, molecular cloning, protein expression, antibody generation and ELISA is advantageous.
• Excellent English and Chinese language skills; able to work in a team and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Involve in research projects related to molecular virology of emerging infectious diseases under supervision.
• Collaborate with the research team and contribute to publications and reports.

Job description

Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in Centre for Virology Vaccinology and Therapeutics Limited (Ref.: CVVT/2026/PDF/D18), to commence as soon as possible for two or three years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a PhD degree in Virology, Biological/Biomedical Sciences, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics or related disciplines. Experience in artificial intelligence, cell culture, molecular clone, protein expression, antibody generation, ELISA, Immune colloidal gold technique, and animal works would be advantages. The appointee will involve in research projects related to molecular virology of emerging infectious diseases under the supervision of Professor Jasper Chan.

Applicants should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and/or Putonghua). They should also have a strong sense of responsibility, good organizational skills, and the ability to work in a team and multi-task. Additionally, they should be self-motivated and hardworking.
