Job summary

Guotai Junan International is seeking an experienced Equity Portfolio Manager to oversee Greater China and global equity portfolios in line with investment guidelines and client mandates. You will perform in-depth macro and fundamental research to identify alpha opportunities and construct well-diversified portfolios.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, with a track record in portfolio management and risk oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Economics, Business or related discipline

• Manage Greater China and global equity portfolios in accordance with investment guidelines, client mandates, and fund objectives.


• Conduct macro, industry, and company-level fundamental research to identify investment opportunities and generate alpha.


• Perform security analysis, valuation modelling, portfolio construction, rebalancing, and performance attribution.


• Monitor portfolio liquidity, cash flows, and compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.


• Prepare investment commentaries, client presentations, and fund marketing materials.


• Participate in client meetings, roadshows, business development activities, and product development initiatives.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline; CFA designation or progress towards CFA preferred.


• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in equity investing and portfolio management, with a proven investment track record.


• Solid fundamental research, financial analysis, valuation, and portfolio construction capabilities.


• Deep understanding of market dynamics, industry trends, and risk management principles.


• Strong communication, presentation, project management, and interpersonal skills.


• Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively within a team environment.


• Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese.
