Job summary

Asset Management Group Limited in Hong Kong seeks a seasoned investment professional to manage discretionary multi-asset portfolios across equities, bonds, funds and alternatives. You will conduct in-depth research, monitor performance, and present investment ideas to the Investment Committee.

The role requires five-plus years of investment experience, strong knowledge of unit trusts/funds, and proficiency with Bloomberg and MS Office. Cantonese and English are essential, Putonghua is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Finance, Economics or related discipline; CFA preferred.
• At least 5 years of investment experience from reputable investment management firms.
• Track record of investment return and portfolio management.
• Strong in unit trusts/mutual funds; Fund of Funds background is a plus.
• Proficiency in Bloomberg, Financial Express, Morning Star, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Proficient in English, Cantonese and fluent in Putonghua is an advantage.
• Candidate with less experience will be considered as Research Analyst.

Responsibilities

• Manage discretionary multi-asset portfolios consisting of equities, bonds, funds, and alternative assets.
• Conduct in-depth research to assess risks and potential returns; monitor and evaluate existing investments through performance analysis.
• Communicate investment recommendations and execution strategies to the Investment Committee.
• Deliver intensive client servicing in close partnership with Relationship Managers by proactively providing market updates and investment ideas.
• Maintain an open-minded approach to alternative ideas from the broader investment team and Relationship Managers.
• Assist Relationship Managers with ongoing client servicing.
• Prepare management reports, conduct portfolio analysis, and produce market research reports and commentaries.
• Work closely with in-house Wealth Managers to develop tailored investment strategies that align with client objectives to drive business development.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of the Hong Kong SFO and regulatory requirements.
• Handle ad-hoc projects assigned by top management.

Job Requirements

Bachelor Degree in Finance, Economics or other related discipline, preferably with CFA qualification;

At least 5 years of investment experience gained from reputable investment management firms;

Track record of investment return and portfolio management;

Strong in unit trust/mutual funds, Fund of Funds background is a plus;

Independent, self-motivated with strong communication skills, and highly numerate with strong analytical skills;

Proficiency in computer applications and research tools such as Bloomberg, Financial Express, Morning Star, Excel, Word and PowerPoint;

Proficient in English, Cantonese and fluent in Putonghua is an advantage;

Candidate with less experience will be considered as Research Analyst.
