Leadingnation is seeking a PMO Director in Hong Kong to ensure IT projects are governed with strong standards and measurable value. The role is hands-on and acts as a liaison between IT leadership, business stakeholders, and headquarters to ensure transparency and disciplined execution.
You will oversee cross-border PMO processes, provide regular updates to Beijing HQ, and drive enterprise programs from initiation to closure, while managing risks, dependencies, and escalations with Mandarin and
Ensure that IT projects and programs are executed with consistent standards, strong governance, strategic alignment, and measurable value. The PMO Director works as a
hands‑on individual contributor
in the PMO team as a key liaison between IT leadership, business stakeholders, and headquarters, ensuring transparency, prioritization discipline, and execution excellence across all IT initiatives.
Ensure compliance with corporate policies, PMO guidelines, and regulatory expectations.
Align PMO processes with headquarters requirement and standards to ensure smooth cross-border communications
Provide regular updates to department heads and Beijing HQ
Drive execution of strategic enterprise-level programs from initiation to closure
Monitor project health, risks, dependencies, and escalations.
Facilitate communication of strategic priorities and ensure alignment of IT initiatives.
Serve as a coordination point between IT, business units, and HQ.
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business, or related discipline.
15 years’ experience with 10+ years in IT project governance, PMO leadership, or large‑scale program delivery.
Proven success in financial services, investment banking, brokerage, or similar regulated industries
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Strong understanding of PMO functions, governance, and SDLC methodologies.
Understanding of IT cost allocation and management
Understanding of enterprise IT landscapes and front-to-back business processes.
Excellent communication and executive‑level presentation skills.
Proficiency in Mandarin and English (written and spoken) is mandatory
