Job summary

Nodex Intelligence in Hong Kong is seeking a software engineer to maintain and expand its data platform, ingesting, cleaning, storing market data, and supporting the trading team.

You will take end-to-end ownership of what you deploy, work with the Head of Research and Technology, and build tools to improve workflows for researchers and traders.

With a focus on reliability, you will handle deployments, disaster recovery drills, and runbooks to keep systems resilient.

Qualifications

• Up to 2 years of software engineering experience or a CS/engineering degree with projects.
• Proficient in Python, SQL and Linux; familiar with Git and Docker.
• Experience integrating with APIs (WebSocket streams) and handling edge cases.
• Familiar with AI coding tools and strict code-review practices for AI-generated code.
• Calm, methodical debugging and root-cause analysis mindset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the health of data feeds, real-time market data ingestors, and servers.
• Diagnose API/data feed changes and resolution.
• Add new data sources, exchanges, and markets with tests and production deployment.
• Manage deployments, backups, upgrades, and monitoring; refine alerts.
• Run regular disaster recovery drills and document procedures.
• Keep runbooks up to date and build productivity tools for teams.
