Job summary

PFCC Group in Hong Kong seeks a Platform Engineer to join its AI & Innovation team to develop and operate its next‑generation AI Platform and Data Lakehouse as part of a multi‑year digitalisation programme.

The ideal candidate is hands‑on with platform development, cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, DevOps and DataOps/MLOps, collaborating across engineering, AI, data and business teams to deliver scalable, reliable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
• 4+ years of Platform Engineering / Platform Development experience.
• Hands-on with Python, Bash, SQL, Docker, Terraform, Helm, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Jenkins, Git, and Ansible.
• Experience delivering AI or Data Platforms in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of DataOps / MLOps.
• Public cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or AliCloud.
• Exposure to Grafana, Prometheus, PyTest, Elasticsearch, LangChain, MLflow, Airflow, Spark, or Iceberg.
• Experience in financial services or international teams is a plus.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• AI Platform & Data Lakehouse: Develop, maintain, monitor, and automate platform operations supporting AI and data workloads.
• Platform Development & Integration: Develop services and integrate internal/external APIs, while supporting AI applications and data pipelines.
• Infrastructure & DevOps: Build and manage scalable infrastructure using Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, and CI/CD tools.
• Testing & Optimisation: Conduct PoCs, acceptance testing, performance monitoring, and evaluate new technologies to improve platform scalability and reliability.

Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a Platform Engineer to join its growing AI & Innovation team. This role will support the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the organisation's next-generation AI Platform and Data Lakehouse, contributing to a multi-year digitalisation and transformation programme.

We are looking for a hands-on and technically strong Platform Engineer with solid experience in platform development, cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, DevOps, and DataOps/MLOps, who is comfortable working across engineering, AI, data, and business teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• AI Platform & Data Lakehouse: Develop, maintain, monitor, and automate platform operations supporting AI and data workloads.
• Platform Development & Integration: Develop services and integrate internal/external APIs, while supporting AI applications and data pipelines.
• Infrastructure & DevOps: Build and manage scalable infrastructure using Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, and CI/CD tools.
• Testing & Optimisation: Conduct PoCs, acceptance testing, performance monitoring, and evaluate new technologies to improve platform scalability and reliability.

• Exposure to Grafana, Prometheus, PyTest, Elasticsearch, LangChain, MLflow, Airflow, Spark, or Iceberg is advantageous.
• Experience within financial services or international teams is a plus.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
