Job summary

Tribus in Hong Kong is seeking Software Engineer – Platform & Distributed Systems across junior to senior levels to help build scalable infrastructure for large-scale HPC workloads.

You'll design and operate distributed services, develop platform APIs, and own services end-to-end, collaborating with researchers and engineers to improve reliability, performance, and observability across global infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Experience with distributed computing and cloud-native software design.
• Strong proficiency in at least one of Go, Python, or Java.
• Experience designing platforms or infrastructure used by other engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate distributed services that manage compute workloads and data access across large-scale infrastructure.
• Develop platform APIs and self-service tooling to improve productivity of engineering teams.
• Own services end-to-end from requirements gathering to production operation.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to translate complex needs into scalable platform capabilities.
• Improve reliability, scalability, and performance of compute-intensive workflows.
• Build and support solutions for scheduling, resource management, observability, and security.
• Balance trade-offs between latency, throughput, simplicity, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
