Job summary

BAH Partners is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join their Hong Kong technology team. You will build and automate platform infrastructure, streamline CI/CD processes, and manage deployments across hybrid on-premise and AWS environments.

You will collaborate with software engineering, trading platform, and market access teams to improve production readiness, automation, and observability while shaping DevOps standards across engineering groups.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience operating hybrid infra across on-prem and AWS.
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience, ideally AWS EKS.
• Strong AWS knowledge: EC2, VPC/networking, load balancing.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or OpenTofu).
• Solid Python fundamentals and scripting abilities.
• Experience with Git and mature CI/CD environments.
• Strong automation, problem-solving mindset and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are partnering with a leading global investment manager to hire an experienced DevOps Engineer for its growing Hong Kong technology team.

You will work closely with software engineering, trading platform and market access teams, helping build and improve the infrastructure, deployment tooling and engineering platforms underpinning a sophisticated global trading environment.

This is a broad DevOps / Platform Engineering position with a strong focus on automation, reliability and developer productivity.

You will:

• Design and build platform infrastructure and development tooling
• Build, automate and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines and release processes
• Manage deployments, upgrades and migrations across hybrid on-premise and AWS environments
• Work extensively with Kubernetes, ideally including AWS EKS
• Build self-service tooling, APIs and automation to reduce operational overhead and improve the developer experience
• Partner closely with software engineers to improve production readiness and engineering standards
• Improve monitoring, alerting, observability and operational processes
• Help establish DevOps standards and best practices across engineering teams

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience operating hybrid infrastructure, spanning on-premise environments and AWS
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, ideally AWS EKS
• Strong AWS infrastructure knowledge across areas such as EC2, VPC/networking and load balancing
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform or OpenTofu
• Good Python fundamentals and an interest in using software engineering to solve infrastructure problems
• Strong Linux and/or Windows scripting skills
• Experience with Git and mature CI/CD environments
• A strong automation and problem-solving mindset
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with software engineering teams
