Job summary

ALSTOM Hong Kong Limited seeks a Planning professional with 2–4 years' experience in Civil, E&M, or QS engineering or construction. You will craft execution plans, set milestones, estimate timescales, and monitor progress with weekly and monthly reports.

You will coordinate with teams, manage resources, and contribute to continuous process improvements while supporting delay recovery actions and risk management in a fast-paced project environment.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of planning experience in Civil/E&M/QS Engineering background or Construction industry.
• Basic knowledge of engineering science and technology.
• Basic knowledge of building and construction.
• Willing to learn and use the software packages competently (MS Office, Primavera P6, MS Project)

Responsibilities

• Create Project Execution Plans: Decide on proper engineering techniques and milestone sequences for each project stage.
• Set targets for activities based on each phase of a project plan and ensure it meets client's specifications.
• Make estimations for timescales using specialized design software packages.
• Monitor day-to-day work progress for a project and provide accurate weekly and monthly reports by swiftly communicating potential progress delays or project slippages.
• Track and analyze field results; continually compare planned vs actual progress and report differences to the lead project manager.
• Identify critical path and propose delay recovery measures.
• Compute EOT together with Contract Manager; support preparation of records for potential delay events.
• Perform Project Coordination: oversee planning, inventory services, team leadership, and project management; provide status updates to vendors and stakeholders.
• Drive Process Improvement: identify gaps in KPIs and plan activities to increase project efficiency; deliver schedules to facilitate execution strategy.
