Job summary

Urban Renewal Authority 市區重建局 is seeking a seasoned placemaking professional to lead strategy formulation and translate it into actionable plans. You will oversee multi-stakeholder collaborations, manage contracts and budgets, and ensure successful events in public spaces.

The role emphasizes governance, vendor coordination, and on-site implementation, with strong communication in English and Chinese. A robust network and leadership skills are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Urban Studies, Placemaking, Business, Marketing, Event Management, Arts & Culture, Heritage, or relevant disciplines.
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in placemaking, public space activation, event management, or project management.
• Proven track record in project execution, including contract management, vendor coordination, on-site implementation, and budget tracking.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to placemaking strategy formulation and translate directions into actionable project plans with clear scope, timeline, and resources.
• Manage full-cycle implementation of placemaking programmes and performance of partners, vendors, and operators.
• Coordinate daily operations and programming of community spaces; collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful events and activations.
• Contribute to collaborative programmes linking Authority assets with the community through original concepts.
• Ensure governance and compliance across placemaking initiatives; assist in procurement, contracting, and financial administration.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors
