Job summary

Qube Research & Technologies (QRT) seeks a Storage Operations Engineer to join a newly established Hong Kong team, collaborating with the London team. You will support scalable, petabyte-scale storage in an HPC environment, liaising with vendors for deployment and maintenance.

The role requires strong enterprise storage administration experience, Linux proficiency, and familiarity with storage tech (S3, NFS, NVMEoF). APAC user support and incident management are key aspects.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in storage systems administration in HPC or research environments.
• Strong understanding of POSIX filesystems and S3 storage
• Experience with storage benchmarking, tuning, and optimization on Linux
• Familiarity with DevOps tooling (Terraform, Ansible, Vault, GitLab, Temporal)
• Knowledge of Python and/or Golang is a plus

Responsibilities

• Manage and operate large-scale, on-premises storage infrastructure (petabyte-scale)
• Coordinate with vendors for deployment, upgrades and maintenance
• Lead incident management and resolution under pressure
• Support APAC users and liaise with research/trading teams on storage needs
