Job summary

Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking a Contractor, Personal Banking Compliance for a 3-6 month engagement to provide regulatory compliance guidance to retail banking units and fintech projects. You will assess risks of new products and initiatives, help update policies, and keep abreast of changes in laws to guide business units.

Fluent English and Chinese are required. Immediate availability is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in legal and regulatory compliance, preferably in banking, financial sectors or regulatory bodies.
• Knowledge in banking products and regulatory requirements (including Code of Banking Practice, the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, HKMA SPM IC-6, the Deposit Protection Scheme Representation Rules and other relevant regulatory requirements in retail banking).
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin).
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office.
• Immediate availability is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice to the business units regarding regulatory compliance issues on general banking products/services and business propositions.
• Assist business units in evaluating the risk involved in new products/services, new procedures and other business initiatives.
• Participate and assist in regulatory compliance-related projects, initiatives and enhancements.
• Assist in reviewing and updating compliance policies and procedures, compliance manuals etc. in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Keep abreast of latest developments of legal and regulatory requirements and guide business units to assess impacts and implement enhancements.
• Assist in preparing compliance training materials for staff in accordance with local regulations and the Bank's policies and training objectives.
• Assist in ad-hoc compliance projects as required.
