Job summary

Nomura Hong Kong is seeking an OTC Derivative Transaction Reporting Associate to manage reporting under AEJ regimes, including MAS/HKMA and global standards. You will ensure timely filings and data integrity.

The role collaborates with front office, risk and compliance to implement regulatory changes and support audits. English and Simplified Chinese are essential. Prior INR-CCIL/NAFMII exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of OTC derivative transaction reporting experience in AEJ regulations (MAS, HKMA, ASIC, KRX, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a financial institution, with exposure to trade lifecycle, regulatory reporting, or middle-office functions.
  • Some understanding of INR (CCIL) and NAFMII reporting requirements is preferred.
  • Knowledge of trade repositories (e.g., DTCC, HKTR) is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with AEJ reporting frameworks (MAS, HKMA, ASIC, KRX-TR).
  • Experience with reporting platforms (e.g., DTCC) and data validation tools.
  • Proficiency in English and Simplified Chinese for NAFMII China compliance.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with traders, compliance, and regulators.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Proactive approach to resolving reporting discrepancies and process inefficiencies.

Department Overview

We are seeking an Associate to manage OTC Derivative Transaction Reporting under Global INR (India) and NAFMII (China) regulations.

Role Overview

The role involves ensuring accurate and timely reporting of trades, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, and collaborating with regional teams to streamline reporting processes. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in AEJ regulatory reporting (MAS, HKMA, ASIC, or equivalent) and a strong understanding of OTC derivative products.

Role Description
  • Oversee INR (CCIL) and NAFMII transaction reporting, ensuring adherence to regulatory timelines and data integrity.
  • Collaborate with front-office, operations, and technology teams to enhance reporting workflows and automation.
  • Monitor regulatory updates (INR, NAFMII, MAS, HKMA, ASIC) and implement changes to reporting processes.
