Gold Partners (Asia) Asset Management Company Limited is seeking an Oracle Database Administrator / Junior DBA to manage and maintain its Oracle database infrastructure on Linux. The role covers performance tuning, security, and high availability, with opportunities for on-the-job training and career growth.

Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle DB on Linux is advantageous.
• Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL.
• Shell scripting in Python or Bash.
• Familiarity with Oracle RAC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and administer Oracle databases for performance, security, and high availability.
• Develop shell scripts to automate tasks and migrations.
• Tuning and troubleshooting of database performance.
• Migrate Oracle 19c to 23 AI.

Oracle Database Administrator / Junior DBA

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Database Administrator (DBA) to join the team at Gold Partners (Asia) Asset Management Company Limited. As a DBA, you will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of the company's critical Oracle database infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.

What you'll be doing

As a DBA, you'll be expected to do:

Database (RAC, Data Guard, ORDS, Container DB) integrity, security, stability, and high availability

Shell Script( Python / Bash ) development

Ad Hoc performance tuning and database troubleshooting

Migration of Oracle 19c to the coming 23AI

As a Junior DBA, you'll be expected to do:

Assisting the DBA with daily DB administration

DB and Linux Patching / Migration / New Server implementation

Application deployment and patching

On-the-job training will be provided

What we’re looking for

DBA

A degree or diploma in a relevant discipline

Experience in: Oracle DB in the Linux Platform will be an asset, Linux admin, Shell Script (Python/bash), and PL/SQL and SQL

Oracle RAC is preferred

Junior DBA

IT-related experience/education

Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and database management tools is an advantage

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies

Fresh graduates are welcome

Immediately available is highly preferred
