Job description

Optical Research Engineer - Laser & Optical Sensor Development

• Bachelor, master or Ph.D. in Optics, Photonics, Applied Physics, Biology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  Hands-on experience in developing or manufacturing lasers, gas optical sensors (especially multi-pass optical sensors) or optical particle sensors is highly preferred.

  We seek candidates with practical expertise in these areas to directly contribute to advancing our optical cavity innovations. Ideal experience includes:

• Laser development/manufacturing: Proficiency in designing, aligning, and optimizing laser systems (e.g., dye, solid state or gas laser), including material design, beam shaping, cavity stabilization.
• Gas optical sensors (with emphasis on multi-pass designs): Direct involvement in building or refining sensors for gas detection (e.g., CO2, VOCs, or trace gases), particularly multi-pass Herriott or White cells that amplify light-gas interaction paths for ultra-high sensitivity. Experience with calibration, noise reduction, and real-world deployment in environmental or industrial monitoring is a strong plus.
• Optical particle sensors: Hands-on work with sensors for detecting airborne particulates or bioaerosols (e.g., mold spores, allergens, or pollutants), including laser-based scattering, UV fluorescence, or absorption techniques. Experience in sensor prototyping, integration into air purification devices, and achieving reliable sensitivity in low-concentration environments is a strong plus.
