HK Express, Hong Kong’s low-cost carrier, is seeking an Officer, Public Relations to support planning and execution of communications initiatives that enhance the airline’s brand and stakeholder engagement. The role works with internal teams, media partners, and external agencies to deliver effective publicity, media, and community programmes aligned with business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Languages, or related disciplines.
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience in a communications role within the aviation, travel, or tourism sector.
  • Strong command of written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing.
  • Experience in Greater Bay Area communications or CSR initiatives will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Handle daily media enquiries and interview requests from Hong Kong and overseas outlets.
  • Assist in planning, organising, and coordinating media and KOL activities, including familiarisation trips, media events, seminars, and content collaborations.
  • Support the drafting, editing, and translation of press releases, feature stories, and other public-facing materials.
  • Provide communications and logistics support for PR, CSR, and publicity initiatives — locally and regionally.
  • Liaise with external partners such as PR agencies, service providers, news monitoring agencies, and event organisers to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Coordinate sponsorship requests and related logistics.
  • Build, manage, and regularly update media, influencer, and stakeholder databases and mailing lists; assist with targeted mailshots and distributions.
  • Conduct media and social monitoring, and prepare regular reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) highlighting PR performance and coverage results.
  • Support basic issues/crisis coordination tasks under guidance.
  • Provide administrative and coordination support for the PR team and department.

Job Summary
