Job summary

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) is seeking a risk operations professional to support daily risk control in derivatives markets. You will work within a team and ensure compliance with established rules and procedures, while assisting in reporting to management and regulators.

The role requires a university degree in finance/risk-related fields, 1–3 years of experience, and strong analytical and communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office is essential; VBA experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• University degree in risk management/finance/economics/business administration or related subjects.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in financial institutions.
• Good analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office; VBA/Macros is an advantage.
• Good command of English and Chinese; Putonghua an advantage.
• Shift duties (11am–8pm) and public holiday support.

Responsibilities

• Support daily risk control operations in accordance with established rules, policies and procedures
• Prepare regular and ad hoc risk management statistics and analysis reports to management and regulators
• Support the rollout of new products, new policies and system enhancements
• Handle inquiries from participants and other internal and external stakeholders
• Undertake other ad hoc tasks as assigned by supervisors

Requirements:

• University degree holder, preferably in Risk Management / Finance / Economics / Business Administration or related subjects
• 1 – 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably in well-established financial institutions
• Good analytical, problem solving and communication skills
• Self-motivated, attention to details and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access), proficiency in Macros and VBA an advantage
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua an advantage
• Shift duties (11am - 8pm) and public holiday support required
